We took a mic to campus

Past students, on camera, unscripted. Tap a cut. Nobody was given a line.

You practice so much that when you read the exercise, you already know what to do.

Four cuts from one shoot. Each face gets a name and a link the moment the person says yes.

The wall of love

Screenshots straight from the group chats, and what students told us, with their name on it. More goes up as it comes in.

A student calling the course a steal: for such dedication from two people at such a low price, they cannot recommend it enough

Arriyan: the course had a very smooth structure, clear explanations and sufficient exercises to actually remember how to use formulas; they definitely recommend pass the year

I went from resitting two courses to passing everything in one round.

A student’s long message: the Spreadsheet Modelling course prepared them for the midterm in so many ways, the exercises and extra sessions made everyone master the skills, and they feel confident they will pass with a very high grade
A student who really liked the course: a lot of practice, questions answered straight away, productive meetings, and an unbelievable positive energy from the teachers
4.93/5average rating by over 430 students

Exactly what I wanted to prepare for the exam.

The thing is, with pass the year I didn’t have to go to lectures so I could use this time more efficiently, like for gym or entrepreneurship. The service was amazing because you were available 24/7 and you were answering really fast.

The summaries are the only thing I opened in the last week. That was enough.

Reviews are what people say. This is what you get: the summary as real pages, the practice that explains itself, the mock under the clock. It is running on the right. Go press things.

Lecture 1: What is an emotion?
Kassin, Fein & Markus (11th ed.) Ch. 3 (p. 62–64, 89–91), Ch. 4 (p. 110–113) · Meston & Frohlich · Dutton & Aron (1974)
IN SHORTEmotions are goal-relevant reactions with three faces: behaviour, feeling and body. Whether arousal becomes fear, anger or attraction depends on the label your mind gives it, and that label can be wrong.

1.1What is an emotion?

Emotions are experiences that occur when we regard our situation as relevant to our active personal goals. It is a mental state caused by stimuli, characterised by three kinds of change:

  • Our behaviour, how we act.
  • Our subjective experience, how we feel.
  • Our physiology, how the systems of the body function.

The most prominent behaviours are facial expressions. Their perception is comparable across cultures; their expression is not, because of display rules.

1.2Emotion versus mood, and arousal

Emotion
Short-lived, with a clear target.
Mood
Long-lasting, with no target.
Arousal
The state of being activated, such as a raised heart rate or sweating.
